Introduction

I am Abubakar Toyeeb Olamilekan, a statistician and researcher passionate about applying mathematics and statistics to solve real-world problems. I recently completed my Master of Science in Mathematical Sciences with Distinction (76%) at the African Institute for Mathematical Sciences (AIMS) in South Africa, affiliated with the University of Cape Town.

My MSc thesis, supervised by Professor Rebecca Killick of Lancaster University, focused on comparative time series analysis of renewable and non-renewable energy generation across European countries, employing unified SARMA-based frameworks and VARMAX modelling to uncover interdependencies between energy sources.

Before this, I earned a Bachelor of Science in Statistics (Second Class Honours Upper, CGPA 4.31/5.0) from the University of Ilorin, Nigeria, where my undergraduate thesis, supervised by Dr. Lawal Babatunde Amusa, centred on statistical quality control applied to water production.

Passionate about interdisciplinary approaches that bridge rigorous theoretical models with practical, real-world applications across energy systems, health, and industry.
